In December of 2012, my car began idling poorly. The accerleration was suddenly bad. I was told it may need a tune up. I took my car immediately to Carmichael's. After having it three days, they gave me an estimate of $2,000+. As the car is a '94, I knew it was hardly worth that investment. I gave up one part-time job and two volunteer jobs, thinking I would have to go car-free and focus my time/energy on getting to my other jobs on foot/by bus.
Did I mention that the guy at Carmichael's offered to buy my car off of me, for a couple hundred?
